This online, participatory workshop focuses on how to negotiate compensation packages. Whether you are negotiating an initial employment agreement or you are pursuing a raise or promotion, this workshop will show you how to navigate the process by applying a proven negotiation framework that builds upon the pioneering work of the Harvard Negotiation Project.

Description

Arguably one of the most stressful and critical types of negotiations is negotiating one’s employment agreement. 

Compensation packages, titles, and professional responsibilities are at stake – all of which can have significant impact on your life and future.  Leaving results to chance can lead to disappointment and missed opportunities.

This Negotiating Compensation virtual workshop will help prepare you to negotiate your employment agreement.  You will learn how to negotiate various aspects of your employment, including salary, bonuses, benefits, professional title, job description, responsibilities, etc.  You will learn a simple, yet powerful framework built on the pioneering work of the Harvard Negotiation Project at Harvard Law School.  You will walk away with a better understanding of how to protect your relationship with your employer while you pursue optimal deal-terms for yourself.

This workshop is equally appropriate for recent graduates who are negotiating their first job offer as well as for senior professionals who are negotiating executive compensation…and for everyone in between.

Theories will come alive during fun, interactive exercises, including role-play simulations that capture the challenges inherent to negotiating compensation and other dimensions of employment agreements.
